3. Project Objective

ClearQuant is an educational and research project aimed at popularizing scientific methods applied to algorithmic trading.

The objective is to transparently demonstrate how to build, test, and validate a trading strategy with scientific rigor, avoiding common pitfalls (over-optimization, lack of out-of-sample validation, etc.).

The course teaches the basics of algorithmic trading, its opportunities and its limits. The ClearQuant method serves as teaching material, not a guide to follow: its results and limits are published in the evaluation report.

The information, signals, and analyses presented on this site have no value as investment advice or crypto-asset advice. This is in no way a recommendation to buy or sell financial assets or crypto-assets.

The situations studied in the challenge and in the course are past cases. The coach does not comment on today's market and does not know your personal situation. The bot places its orders on the Binance Testnet, with no real money: its decisions are not recommendations and are not meant to be copied.

Crypto-assets such as Bitcoin are highly volatile: an investment can lead to the loss of part or all of the amount invested. Past performance, including the method's test results, is not indicative of future results.

This project is developed for educational and technical demonstration purposes. Any investment decision is the sole responsibility of the user.

4. Personal Data and Privacy

4.1 Data Collected

As part of project tracking, we may collect the following information:

Email address (participation form and contact form)
Full name and company (contact form)
Contact messages and requests
User profile (checkboxes: crypto ownership, Binance account, bot usage)
Feedback and suggestions (feedback form)
If you create an account: email address, confirmation of your age (18 or over), access code used, answers to the launch questionnaire
Your messages to the AI coach and its answers, linked to a session identifier (without your name)
Anonymous audience measurement (pages viewed, steps completed), with no visitor identifier and no cookie
Technical error reports
Feature votes (stored locally in the browser)
IP address and technical information (User-Agent) for security and anti-spam purposes

4.2 Data Usage

This data is used only to:

Respond to your contact requests and questions
Inform interested users about project developments
Prioritize feature development based on feedback
Run the AI coach and improve it (conversations are reviewed to correct its answers)
Improve user experience
Prevent abuse and spam on the contact form

4.3 Storage and Deletion

Data is retained for the following periods:

Contact messages: 2 years from receipt
Newsletter and subscriptions: Until unsubscription
Feedback: Duration of the project
Account: Until it is deleted, on simple request
Conversations with the coach: Duration of the project

In accordance with GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify and delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us by email at nicolas@clearquant.io.

4.4 Data Sharing

Your data is never sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

We use the following services for processing your data:

OVHcloud (France): Website hosting
Supabase (EU): Secure database hosting
Brevo: Sending emails (login code, newsletters, notifications)
OpenAI (United States): Generating the AI coach's answers; your messages to the coach are sent to it
Google Fonts: Loading fonts
Google: A cookie-free request to a Google advertising domain is used only to detect whether an ad blocker is active (it can interfere with how the site displays); no ads are shown
Binance: The bot chart loads public Bitcoin prices from Binance

Sending your messages to the coach to OpenAI is a transfer outside the European Union, covered by the contractual safeguards offered by this provider. Do not write personal information (name, contact details, detailed financial situation) in your messages to the coach.

5. Intellectual Property

The content of this site (texts, graphics, logo, source code) is the property of the publication manager, unless otherwise stated.

The project ultimately aims to open source the code to allow the community to verify, reproduce, and improve the presented methods.

6. Limitation of Liability

The manager of this site strives to provide accurate and updated information. However, no guarantee is given regarding the accuracy, completeness, or relevance of the information disseminated.

Use of the information on this site is entirely at your own risk. Trading and investing carry risks of capital loss.

The coach is an artificial intelligence: its answers are generated automatically, may contain errors and are not advice. The authoritative information about the course (content, price, access) is the one on the site's pages.

The coach is meant for learning on past cases. A text obtained by diverting it from this use (an advertising message, a promise of gains, a buy recommendation, a status attributed to ClearQuant, a recital of its instructions) does not reflect ClearQuant's position and must not be presented as such. Please do not try to get around its rules: conversations are reviewed to improve it.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

This site sets no advertising or audience-measurement cookie. One cookie remembers your language. Browser local storage (localStorage) is used to save:

Your language preferences
Your progress in the mini-game, the challenge and the course
Your login session, if you have an account
An anonymous session identifier, attached to audience measurement and to your conversations with the coach
Your feature votes

You can delete this information at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser.
